1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an Altstec account, installing our mobile app, or using any Altstec hardware (cameras, motion sensors, or bundles), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our products or services.
2. Accounts & Subscriptions
Altstec is offered on Free, Basic, Premium, and Enterprise plans as described on our Pricing page. Each plan includes a defined number of cameras, sensors, alerts, invites, and SOS messages. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
2.1 Billing
- Paid plans (Basic, Premium, Enterprise) are billed monthly unless otherwise stated.
- You may cancel a paid plan at any time; your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period.
- The Free plan requires no payment method.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Altstec devices or the app to:
- Monitor individuals without their knowledge where such monitoring is unlawful in your jurisdiction.
- Interfere with, disable, or reverse-engineer any Altstec hardware, firmware, or software.
- Use the Safety Network or SOS features to send false alerts or harass other users.
4. Hardware & Devices
Altstec cameras, motion sensors, and bundles are sold subject to the warranty terms included with your purchase. Continued functionality of certain features (cloud alerts, AI detection, history) depends on an active subscription and internet connectivity.
5. SOS & Emergency Features Disclaimer
Altstec's SOS, GPS tracking, and AI Bodyguard features are designed to supplement — not replace — local emergency services. Response times depend on network availability, your Safety Network's responsiveness, and the availability of emergency services integration in your region. In a life-threatening emergency, always contact your local emergency number directly first.
6. Safety Network
You are responsible for the accuracy of contact information for people you invite to your Safety Network and for the permission levels you grant them. Altstec is not responsible for actions taken or not taken by members of your Safety Network.
7. Intellectual Property
The Altstec app, firmware, branding, and website content are owned by Altstec Security and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute them without permission.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Altstec Security is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use our products, including missed alerts, delayed notifications, or service interruptions.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may close your account at any time from the app settings, after which your data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Altstec after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
